Correcting spatial-spectral crosstalk and chromatic aberrations in broadband line-scan spectral-domain OCT images

چکیده
Digital correction of optical aberrations allows for high-resolution imaging across the full depth range in coherence tomography (OCT). Many digital aberration (DAC) methods have been proposed past to evaluate and correct monochromatic error OCT images. However, other factors that deteriorate image quality not fully investigated. Specifically, a broadband line-scan spectral-domain system (LS-SD-OCT), photons with different wavelengths scattered from same transverse location imaged object will be projected onto spatial coordinates 2D camera sensor, which this work is defined as spatial-spectral crosstalk. In addition, chromatic both axial lateral directions are negligible broad spectral bandwidths. Here we present novel approach recovery resolution images acquired LS-SD-OCT, addresses these two main limit effectiveness DAC restoring diffraction-limited LS-SD-OCT approach, crosstalk suppressed by registration sub-band tomograms digitally corrected aberrations. The new method was validated standard target, microspheres phantom, biological tissues. technology combined reconstruction could valuable research tool various biomedical clinical applications.

متن کاملSpatial and Spectral Analysis and Modeling of Transversal Chromatic Aberrations and their Compensation
The wavelength-dependency of the refraction indices in optical systems involves chromatic aberrations: one object point is not projected on exactly one image point on the sensor plane, but dispersed depending on its wavelengths in a rainbow-like manner due to the wavelength-dependency. These distortions have already been analyzed for the three broadband color planes red, green and blue of an RG...

We demonstrate the use of a simple tool to simultaneously visualize and characterize chromatic and spherical aberrations that are present in multiphoton microscopy. Using two-dimensional Fourier transform spectral interferometry, we measured these aberrations, deducing in a single shot spatiotemporal effects in high-numerical-aperture objectives.
متن کاملNonparametric Spectral-Spatial Anomaly Detection
Due to abundant spectral information contained in the hyperspectral images, they are suitable data for anomalous targets detection. The use of spatial features in addition to spectral ones can improve the anomaly detection performance. An anomaly detector, called nonparametric spectral-spatial detector (NSSD), is proposed in this work which utilizes the benefits of spatial features and local st...
متن کاملCorrecting chromatic aberrations using image warping
The problem of chromatic aberration arises because each wavelength of light is refracted diierently by the elements of a lens. Unfortunately , this means that is image will be blurred and distorted. In color imaging these distortions cause measurable diierences between the images. Recent research has proposed an approach for dealing with this aberrations by actively controlling the optics of th...
